Vitamin B1, also known as Thiamine, is the first numbered member of the B vitamin family.

B1 is found in many foods including yeast, cereal grains, beans, nuts and meat.

It is often used in combination with other B vitamins.

There are two forms of thiamine often used in vitamin B1 supplements - thiamine hydrochloride and thiamine mononitrate.

Both are synthetic, however thiamine hydrochloride (HCl) is water-soluble, unlike thiamine mononitrate making it much more effective as the body can absorb it easier.

While we use thiamine hydrochloride in G&G Vitamins supplements, a lot of other supplements on the market do not as it is more time consuming and harder to manufacture.
