An Asian plant species of the lily family. It is native to Kazakhstan and in Xinjiang Province of western China, though cultivated in other places and naturalised in Japan and in other parts of China. It produces bulbs up to 1.25″ (30 mm) in diameter. Stem is up to 24″ (60 cm) tall. Flowers are pale yellow, sometimes with a purple tinge or purple markings.
