DMG (dimethylglycine) is a non-protein amino acid found in both plant and animal cells.
It is recognized as a "methyl donor" or "methyl bank." In the body, with the aid of a riboflavin coenzyme, DMG provides methyl groups that combine with folate to create methylene tetrahydrofolate.
